Principal, Dr. DuPree
Dr. Dupree presently holds the position of Principal at Central Fine Arts and International Baccalaureate Magnet High School in Bibb County. With more than twenty-three years in the field of education, she has engaged in a variety of roles, including Assistant Principal of Instruction, District Intervention Coach, Education Specialist, Instructional Coach, Literacy Coach, and Teacher. Dr. Dupree's dedication to lifelong learning is evident in her academic accomplishments, including a B.S. in Early Childhood Education with Middle Grades Language Arts Certification from Mercer University, an M.A. in Instructional Education from Central Michigan University, and Ed.S. and Ed.D. degrees in Educational Leadership from Argosy University. Additionally, she holds an Add-on Certification in Educational Leadership from Georgia College & State University, along with Reading and Gifted Endorsements and a Teacher Support Specialist certification.
Beyond her administrative duties, Dr. Dupree actively contributes to educational excellence. She participated in the Cognia Accreditation Review Team in March 2022 and completed the AASA/Howard University Urban Superintendents Academy in 2023. This prestigious program equips leaders to ensure equitable access and opportunity for 21st-century innovation. Dr. Dupree's expertise was also recognized nationally, as she was selected as a presenter at the ASCD conference in Denver, Colorado, held from March 31 to April 3, 2023, and the Magnet Schools National Conference from April 15-19, 2024.
In her personal life, Dr. Dupree is married to Joe Dupree and is the proud mother of Nick, Chase, and Chloe. She is an active member of The House of Hope in Decatur, Georgia, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated. During her leisure time, she enjoys reading, shopping, traveling, and spending quality time with her family.

Amber Lamar, a native of Macon, GA, has dedicated her career to education and counseling, making a significant impact on students' lives throughout her journey.
Born and raised in Macon, Amber graduated from Central High School in 2011, laying the foundation for her passion for education. She pursued higher education at Albany State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2015. Driven by a desire to support youth and foster academic success, she continued her academic journey at Fort Valley State University, obtaining a Master of School Counseling in 2017 and a Specialist of School Counseling in 2019.
Equipped with a Tier 1 Leadership Certification from the University of West Georgia in 2024, Amber has continually expanded her skills and knowledge to better serve her students and community.
Amber began her career as an Educational Aide at the Department of Juvenile Justice in 2015, where she gained valuable experience in supporting at-risk youth. She then transitioned to education as a Long-Term Substitute at Central High School in 2016, solidifying her commitment to student learning.
From 2017 to 2018, Amber served as a Special Education Teacher at Twiggs Middle/High School, where she implemented individualized educational plans and provided essential support to students with diverse learning needs.
Her role as a School Counselor at Central High School from 2018 to 2023 marked a significant chapter in her career, where she developed and implemented comprehensive counseling programs to support students' academic, career, and personal/social development. Her dedication and impact were recognized when she was awarded Bibb County School District Counselor of the Year for the 2023-2024 academic year.
In addition to her tenure at Central High School, Amber served as a School Counselor at Foothills Charter High School from 2020 to 2023, further broadening her experience in educational settings.
Prior roles include BCSD Summer School Assistant Principal, BCSD High School Lead Counselor and Dean of Students at Central High School. Currently, Amber holds the position of Assistant Principal at Central High School, selected in 2024. In this role, she continues to uphold her commitment to academic excellence and student welfare. She also serves as the PBIS Coach, Leader in Me Coordinator, and Testing Coordinator, demonstrating her versatility and leadership within the school community.
