Fine Arts

Central has a tradition of excellence in both academics and the Fine Arts. Our mission is to offer study and training in the various Fine Arts disciplines with opportunities for performance, exhibition, and publication. Eligible applicants for the Fine Arts Program must be rising 9th or 10th graders with a minimum 2.7 GPA, and in good standing with the disciplinary code of their present school. The Fine Arts Magnet Program is open to all students, regardless of zoned school location.
Students must apply and be accepted into the Fine Arts Program and complete all 4 years to be eligible for the Fine Arts Seal.

Audition/Interview Requirements
An audition for Fine Arts IS REQUIRED IN ADDITION to this application. Please attend the audition for your FIRST-CHOICE fine art that you selected on the application .
Make-up and wait-list auditions will be held in April. Students increase their chances of acceptance by auditioning for both their first and second choice, but whichever audition they attend first will have priority if both disciplines wish to accept the student. Students must remain in their discipline for all four years, so please choose carefully.
