The Band program provides opportunities for advanced-level performers to develop and refine skills on a wind or percussion instrument, highlighting performance and production, analysis and theoretical studies, historical and cultural contributions.

Audition Requirements: Band
1. Perform at least two of the following scales in the GMEA All-State Pattern: Concert F, Bb, Eb, Ab Scales (Percussion would perform the scales on mallets).
2. Sight-reading example provided at audition and performed by student.
3. Percussionists will have to play both snare and mallet sight-reading.
4. Prepared solo piece of music brought in by the student. For percussion this can be on snare drum, mallets, or timpani.
